First of all, welcome guys to my blog and I hope you are all well. My name Jennet Bahadurova. Iam studying english language learning at Istanbul Medipol University. I prepared a blog about instruction methods and principles of ELT.
In today’s globalized world, the importance of the English language is increasing day by day. Knowing English provides advantages in various fields, ranging from business and academia to travel and deepening cultural understanding. This blog aims to provide information about English language learning methods, principles, and best practices. Here, we will address topics such as useful tips for making the English learning process enjoyable, effective, and sustainable, grammar practices, strategies for improving vocabulary, and language learning resources.
Firstly, let’s briefly discuss the principles of learning. It is important to set your goals before starting to learn English. For example, you should determine the purpose for which you want to learn this language. It is important to incorporate English into your lifestyle by constantly practicing it while learning.
To improve your English, you can utilize different methods such as podcasts, music, movies, books, and articles to enhance your listening and reading skills. Additionally, you should also be open to innovative methods. For example, you can use flashcards to learn English words and practice creating sample sentences to understand the grammar structure.
In addition to these methods, language courses and schools are also effective in rapidly improving English. They are a popular option for those who want to learn English. This method offers many advantages. Lessons conducted with experienced and expert teachers provide students with the opportunity to learn the correct grammar structure. Language schools offer courses at different levels, allowing students to choose a program that suits their language learning skills.
Another method that focuses on speaking skills in the English learning process is the direct method. This method encourages students to interact directly with English. Unlike simple English methods, it allows you to learn English directly. Teachers enable students to learn words and sentences in English by communicating entirely in English. This method enhances the learning experience by using visual materials such as facial expressions, images, and animations to make it more enjoyable.
Lastly, keeping your motivation high is crucial when learning a language. The challenges you encounter in the initial stages may make you feel like giving up, but reminding yourself of your English learning goal and why you are learning this language will motivate you even more. Learning English is like running a marathon, and you need to keep progressing by taking continuous steps.
Self-paced learning English
In today’s rapidly developing world, traditional education methods have become a bit difficult on their own. The simple learning methods we use often fail to meet the various learning needs of students. In this context, self-paced learning has emerged as a revolutionary concept that enables students to take control of their educational journey.
Sellf-paced learning, this learning should adapt the learning pace to their own interests and abilities. In other words, this allows the student to progress at their own learning pace. Self-paced learning is when these students make their own schedule and learning choices while learning. Unlike traditional classrooms where students must adhere to a fixed timetable, self-learning allows individuals to progress at their own pace. This approach ensures that every student is able to grasp and decipher topics before moving forward.
Every person has a unique learning style such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic or a combination of thesse. Self-paced learning recognizes and accommodates these individual differences. Students can choose the formats and resources that best suit their learning styles, such as watching videos, reading texts, participating in hands-on activities or engaging in interactive online discussions. This adaptability enhances the learning experience and fosters a more inclusive educational environment.
Self-paced learning fosters a culture of lifelong learning. By developing self-directed work habits and critical thinking skills, individuals are equipped to pursue knowledge long after formal education has ended. Its ability to adapt to emerging technologies, industries and societal changes makes it a valuable asset in an ever-changing world. Self-paced learning encourages continuous improvement and keeps individuals one step ahead in their chosen fields.
